GM Information Session - Orange Returns

Instance queues are already shared between Klaipeda and Orsha. Merging servers would do nothing for those. If you want to speed them up, try doing level scaling for instances, like how TBL scaled everyone’s levels to 200. There’s no reason to prevent a level 250 and a 300 from doing Saalus together if you can scale their levels to match the monsters.

You could also have a button on the dungeon queue screen that notifies shout chat that people are queuing. It wouldn’t consume a microphone and would have a long cooldown instead.

When doing mergers, it’s necessary to consider whether the communities are compatible. Some of Orsha’s players might find a warmer welcome in Silute instead of Klaipeda.

No talk of Rank Resets

When they said this, you mean they didn’t want to comment on it or just it’s not coming again?

Give server transfers, problem solved. Give Orsha players a choice to transfer to any server they want, those who didn’t choose default to Klai

These ideas are good, but before implementing them I’d want to see a queue from anywhere option. It would encourage more players to queue if they didn’t have to worry about standing around for too long.

I agree with @MagicOne, very easy solution to the problem. Just allow players to transfer to whatever server they want.

No internal discussion about releasing more in the future as of yet. Orange didn’t rule them out and I offered some suggestions on them.

transfer to silute/sea, spend 10k usd buying equipment/stuffs, transfer back to NA/EU

(just one of the example people could abuse server transfer)

took em 6months to implement walking-around-when-queue from april to oct2016

we probably see queue-from-anywhere around april/may2017.

just guessing.

(pardon my stupidity in coding, if cxanywhere addon can bring repair npc to anywhere, why cant IMC bring dungeon npc to anywhere? hrmmm…)

Devs will not be attending GM meetup due to language barrier

Oh well now it all has sense…

How the hell did you guys try to save this game when your staff cant even speak the same language? Just give up already…

Staff is not the same as devs  I think it’s enough our ideas are translated to them and their thoughts to us. It would be nice to be able to have discussion with the devs directly too as well tho.

Pretty sure this is the dev mentality right now

Oh, you want an interview with a translator in English about iTOS? Screw you Git Gud and enjoy your DPK, bad servers, broken skills, and bugs forever. We’ll take your suggestion into consideration when on the toilet while laughing and wiping our butts with your money.

If that isn’t the flat out truth go look at the conversion thread and the developer response about it. Or think of why they have sat here doing nothing for a year and still refuse to even try bridging the gap.

They have lost about 94% of their player base for a game that the developers dont even play themselves. Clearly they are doing something horribly wrong.

They need to make their mind already. Is it legal? Is it a cheating?

I don’t remember any game where AFKing with a skill of an unlimited duration is a bannable offence.
Ow, wait, I don’t remember any game where it is that effective. Maybe IMC’s GE or mobile/browser games. Even homunculus in RO needed feeding and auto-feeding wasn’t technically allowed.

Just make those skeletons decay/stop attacking after 1 minute like zombies/demon.

No, they prefer half-assed measures like GM’s running around and dc anyone who won’t respond or threatening players with bans for something legal.

Auto-Attack Mode (Ctrl+E)
Your characters will attack and chase any monster within their targeting distance. Under Auto-Attack characters are free to move, but will return to the original spot when the area is clear.

Keep Mode (Ctrl+H)
Your characters will attack all monsters in their targeting area but will not move…

Harvest Mode (cntrl + shift + left click)
Your characters will automatically pick up all nearby items.

Assault Mode (Ctrl+Left Mouse Button)
Works like normal movement, except your characters will attack any monster within their targeting range on their way to the selected destination.

Team Select (F9)
Toggle between individual select and team select mode.

Team Summon (F4)
Command all team members to gather near the selected character.

You use to be able to do this in their pervious game called Granado Espada
with any type of classes.

Unless everyone can do what is stated in that command there i dont think everyone will be satisfied since Sorc got cucked its safe to say Necro afk is also an abuse

Pretty sure this is the strategy here classic Aeria games style. Staff here might even be ex Aeria employees from all the games they have ran into the ground and closed.

I wouldn’t go this far, but I do acknowledge the possibility.

They are clever and not stupid in that regard to know this would happen if ever confronted here by someone knowledgable.

Notice the suited guy in the back laughing because it is such a joke.

This is in the context of a one time server transfer away from Orsha in the case of a merger. That is a good point if they were every going to implement normal server transfers though.

Did you have to remind me? Q.Q
RIP SMT:I.

Oh and that list doesn’t even include games that dont have more than 5k players but are still profitable to them because whales are willing to pay 500 a month to increase their ePeen (looking at you WolfTeam and Shaiya)

This might actually be the future of ToS at this rate. Next thing we’ll see in a premium token and then it will slowly drift into the milking phase to milk those 5-20 really rich players by hiding content or giving extreme stat boosts (while nerving base stats into the ground of course) through paywalls.

I mean sure they can probably guess what could happen in that case but I feel as if their motive for not doing it is due to being afraid, not being confident in being able to handle it properly. I don’t think they are very clever in general. I think they admitted in the long version of the korean live meetup that they ‘hesitate to hesitate’ too much.

I’m not gonna just blindly believe their words but in my opinion they could have done so many things to make money out of this game if they truly didn’t care at all. i feel it more comes down to not being able to man up to mistakes and being afraid to take on these issues head on while also maybe not knowing how to do that either.

An “international” company that is able to speak only one language which cannot pull its weight enough to be spread… will of course not be able to ask others people for help (jtos) or to recruit because language barrier (majority international company can speak english, german, spanish, chinese, japanese and some others but IMC games only Korean NP)

Well yeah I mean, I did say I do not see it that bad if devs can’t speak english/other languages. Can’t say the same for the head of the company and if there is a need for discussion with a dev who isn’t able to communicate in a language needed with the other party, I do believe the company should provide necessary means of translation to make it possible.

So most part I do agree with you.
