Gem system may be in a bad state

For what i know…
First, gems are too hard to farm. Playing the game regularly grants u a lot of gems from chests and BOSSES but… what then? It’s incredible difficult to farm them! I just got like 3 random gems from enemies in my game. Unless there is a high area place to farm…

Now, if you put the gem, the silver penalty to extract is nice, but NOT the -1 level downgrade. Because… well, i have my weapon, i get my gem to +3 or +4, then i want another weapon, maybe i got another better, maybe i’m just 50 levels ahead than previous. And what should i do? If i extract it to put in the new weapon… it’s like losing between 8 and 27 gems (depend on the gem level). And the point is… being gems incredibly hard to farm, it’s dumb. This system forces you to… never use the gems unless, i dont know, you get an OP weapon that u know ull never get rid of. Even with that its not sure, at some point ull get a better one. And then what, if you cant farm gems? I find it dumb…

Also it prevents you from using gems at lower levels, cause u have dumb gear. Its a late game feature… im okay with that, but it’s bad.

So what do you do when u need gems for a late game weapon, and u used them all for a previous one? We cant save them, cause we are constantly (nearly) changing weapons so… it’s a bad system. If we make gems NOT DO LOSE LEVELS, NEVER, then it’s good, cause you can have a set of leveled gems that you can pass from one to another weapon. Add costs to remove gem from a weapon, sure, like 10K-50K silver, but that’s all, dont downgrade the gem, allos us to EXPERIMENT with gems from weapon to weapon

What do you do if u go to 0 gems, high level weapon? You can farm them? You cant even repeat bosses to farm gems or cards!

Did you know you can feed any junk materials (bones, wax, shells, crystal spider feelers, etc.) and equips to your gem in order to level it up, rather than only using other gems for this purpose?

Takes about 1-2 hours of material farming to raise gem from lvl 1 to lvl 5 (buy some cheap junk materials off market as well whenever you see it).

But I agree that gems should be dropped more often by monsters, especially on higher levels.

I’m not too sure on the whole “Gem” system they have in play, from what I’ve seen personally, I haven’t found anything I can even socket a gem into yet, and I’m level 68. So, personally can’t say I care all too much.

However, I have noticed, in the lower leveled area’s, you can actually find gems from chests. The Crystal Mine comes to mind as a prime example, there’s a location where a chest always spawns, and it always contains gems. This can easily be farmed too, simply by channel surfing, and cycling back to the original channel you’ve started at. These chest do seem to spawn/renew in the matter of minutes, but if you’re impatient, channel farming is the sure way to get Gems with ease.

I’m not too sure if Gems have different tiers, as of now, I’ve simply seen the same gems drop, I’d imagine there’s higher grade gems, but if not, you should definitely try farming the gems. It’s easy.

Actually every piece of equipment other than accessories have at least one socket to put gems into, you just have to open those slots at the blacksmith…

DAAAMN! You could use materials to level gems all this time!!! I though only other gems and cards…
Okay, NOW the system is balanced, pretty balanced. Gems are not unique, but you can farm them from normal enemies, and are hard. And, when you get ONE or TWO gems (at least for your weapon) you can level as high as you want farming materials. So, -1 level when taking out a gem is okay. I’m happy with that

Nah, gem rare drop is ok. Just playing the game you get a lot, as long as you dont use gems to level other gems unless necessity it’s ok. Even if you lose them all just take your time to farm gems, then level with materials

PD: I know u can gem equipment and armor, the gems themselves says the bonus if you put there but my armors are constantly changing, not like my weapon, so it’s useless

GEM enhancement using Monster GEMS!

[image] Just found out that monster Gems worth 15k exp for gem enhancement. I was killing some time while waiting for my learning cool down of my skill attribute by visiting the miners village and collect garbage loots for enhancing while leveling my pet… (yes, 1 exp of pet is equivalent of 1 monster, it doesn’t matter if it is level 1 of 200) so the best way to level your pet is the time while you are just collecting something for gem enhancement. monster gems are pretty much a very rare d…

ITs fun how u find bots nearly in all channels at that area (thanks god this area has 20 channels), at least 1 bot per channel… luckily bot system sucks and they dont move, so they dont pick items

To farm gems if you need them you can go to a place called “Second Demon Prison” drop rate for gems from the mobs is average BUT if u kill a small goblin that is a rare spawn there you get a key, use
the key on the crystal in the first area and then move around the teleport pads till you see a teleport pad glowing red, this will let you go to a secret platform and reward you with items, or LOADS of gems.
Its easy to do and repeatable, and this is only at lvl 160, im sure as more area’s get added and more worldbosses and secret area’s, more placed to farm gems will become easily accessible.

Also there are items called Gem Abrasives that give big EXP for those gems to level up. I think a LVL 1 Gem Abrasive is enough to make a Lvl 1 Gem to Lvl 3 (+3000 EXP). I just got one last night but I didn’t use it yet (I forgot where I got it though )
