Gacha ruined ktos bots

Then reduce the silver price and alls well. The farming capability of bots is infinite after all.

Ikr. Almost impossible for them to keep up

Technically it is but the average bot makes it to mid levels and the costs are exponential. Also silver anvils are invaluable

So in terms of priority:

Whales > Botters > Non-whales

Seems logical to me. You take out the botters, you’re left with:

Whales > Non-whales (at least until the last non-whale leaves the game)

Good business strategy. The game will then become “Tree of whoever-can-throw-the-most-amount-of-money-at-IMC” — whales “out-whaling” each other.

Wouldn’t there be whales regardless though?
The only thing I see changing is where the money goes, some mats may affect the economy I don’t know if it will be a positive or negative effect.

Making some mats available through this event made them lose value for example. This could be good or bad but I’m going to lean on bad because I’m not optimistic that they planned ahead in terms of the game’s economics.

Please prove me wrong.

Probably because the botters are smart enough to know when a company does something so phenomenally stupid it’s going to kill their game. They’re moving their bots to other games now that the last nail is in ToS’s coffin.

I’m all for criticizing but let’s not be idiotic.

I wasn’t thinking anything, i was just being silly with @d_88overcome post lol.

Either way, yes — but…

Let’s say whales stop RMT-ing and buys these P2W sh!t instead. They’ll still need a huge amount of silver for leveling attributes so they’re prompted to sell some of the stuff they’ve gotten from these gatcha cubes for ez silver. Let’s also not forget that they can also still farm silver for themselves and have the luxury to solely spend those silver on attributes.

But as @SlyGoat shared, if this does affect bots in our version in terms of ROI they will just move on to another MMO. That means no bots farming silver for players to sink into their attributes.

This leaves the non-whales to do the dirty job of silver-farming to buy the stuff whales are selling which really isn’t very efficient for them overall since they also have their own attributes to level - BUT they are still “forced” to spend silver in buying those stuff or else they’ll be at a disadvantage equipment-wise unless of course they don’t give a sh!t about being behind everyone else.

TLDR once botters are gone…

Whales can easily max attributes and have uber equips.

Non-whales will significantly lag behind in terms of attribute levels and equipment uberness.

Textbook pay2win.

riiight!!! :smirk:

well I was thinking it, that’s enough for me…

but for the rest that were thinking it, you all are welcome :sunglasses:

That doesn’t really make sense because all you’re saying now is that everyone is in need of silver =/. Non whales are still in the same scenario as before and Whales need silver. So then botters would not leave that’s a contradiction to the scenario op is talking about…

No, don’t expect it to happen at the same time.

If OP is right, that means gacha will slowly replace RMT as a means of acquiring silver for the whales.

If no one’s buying into RMT, botters (again, if OP is right) will eventually leave the game.

Then follows what I previously stated.

Who doesn’t?

Question. Let’s say hypothetically that people were semi-intelligent and didnt purchase what the whales were selling for inflated prices. Who wins? Bots still gone, RMT dead for good?

The whales and members of top ranked guilds.

Apparently…

I see, so they can get their silver regardless of whether or not someone buys their items from marketplace.

“OMG diz game haz bots, game so bad, game so daed”

Keeping it serious though, I think their original plan was to make TP available through competitions or something? That wasn’t realized because of optimization. I’m going on a stretch to say maybe they are confident about the latest one they blogged about.
