Fencer C3 HL vs BARB?

Hello guys i would like to ask how barbarian is different from Highlander for Fencer? They both have similar attack skills, would i loose too much dps going Barb? I know HL is the more popular route, but would like information from experienced fellas like you :slight_smile: Thanks!

I have a 330 Sword3>HL2>Fencer3
and I’ve tried both Sword3>HL2>Fencer3 and Sword3>Barb2>Fencer3,

If I hadn’t gone out of town before the last day of reset, I would’ve chosen Sword3>Barb2>Fencer3.
My reason, is for convenience. Based on my personal tests during the reset, I find it easier to kill mobs of monsters on Barb2 than HL2.

Take my opinion with a grain of salt as not everyone might agree.

Thanks huber, could you tell me why? Is it because of the aoe ratio of the skills and the buffs?

Yes. Aside from Fencer skills, Seism with max stacks of Wild Nature just makes life soooo much easier.

I was barb before, now I use HL. Barb is more of a “gather mobs and kill together” style whereas HL would “just kill whatever is closest to you”.

I chose HL because it’s easier to cycle and has cheaper skills

I see guys, thanks for those insights. So going Barb wouldn´t lower fps that much, it´s still viable.
Aside from that note, exchanging Sw3 for Barb/HL3 or a rank in corsair is not really reccomended right? The scaling of gun ho and concentrate increase with those extra lvls? Or just the base value? Maybe a rank in corsair? What do you think?

Gungho scale only with STR , Concentrate scale with STR and DEX and both scale with lvl , well SW3 and high2 is an option cause you can use "double slash " with “crosscut+skyliner” and long duration of “pain barrier” and about barb is good too but need to ram up before is can hit like a truck

I have HL3 Fencer, and while the single-target DPS is amazing, mobbing is very underwhelming. I honestly wish I went SW2>HL3>F instead of SW1>HL3>CO1>F because I do wish I had restrain to facilitate fighting mobs a bit. If you’re ok with giving up mobbing ability to have stellar DPS then go HL route, otherwise Barb is a lot better at mobbing at the cost of having weaker boss fighting.
