Fedimian[EU] dying?

The ingame ping command has been broken for a long time. A better method would be using your Resource Monitor.

Lag compensation? What? If you’ve ever played games like say, Tera or Blade and Soul, you’ll know what a world of difference even 50 versus 25ms ping is. And sure, sure, ToS isn’t as fast paced as either of those, the effects are still there, just less noticeable. Doesn’t make them nonexistant though, and I’m stupidly sensitive to any sort of delay in any online game. It just makes it feel off if it’s not in line with my reaction speed.

Also I like how you bring up how “SEA players would be unhappy with it” (merging with NA) but here you are supporting merging EU with NA. Not like the EU players would be unhappy or anything either right?

Simple. They have more players to play with.

More than NA. So it really would be NA merging into SEA rather than the other way around. And looking back at CBT and founder’s access, we all know how much SEA and NA like each other.

In any case, I will say again, server merging will do nothing to actually help the game and should only be done between servers in the same location (ie Kleip+Orsha) if deemed at all necessary and should be the lowest priority on IMC’s arguably very skewed priority list. Somewhere lower than balancing classes should suffice.

I’ve played on NA Klaipeda first with friends but now I play on Fedimian EU since well, I live in EU. I’m glad I made the switch because the difference in latency is VERY noticeable and I’d oppose a merge no questions asked. Been playing this game for almost 3 months now and still very much enjoying it.

Yeah merge Klaipeda and Orsha with Fedimian and the servers are in Europe. I have no problem with this.

I like the way you think. :+1:

We were talking about people unhappy about ping. Now you are saying how NA/SEA love each other.

As I said before, such stuff isn’t decided solely depending on the population. NA was the first one to open. Why didn’t IMC start with SA/SEA servers? After that they opened EU first and then decided to make SEA server.

NA/SEA liking eachother was incredibly obvious sarcasm. They don’t.

Either way, the bigger question you should ask yourself is:

  1. Why would it be considered absolutely vital to merge two servers from a different continent when there is a much more suitable target for such a merge (Orsha)

and

  1. Why are we still discussing this? A merge is not needed and accomplishes nothing that is actually healthy for the game (outside of orsha/kleip which would just do…nothing. They already share queues…)

Yeah, that was a sarcasm too.

  1. Of course Orsha comes first. But My main concern is Fedi, because I’m playing on Fedi, not Orsha.

  2. It would give a bigger population. This may be needed for people to play it like you know … MMO, not a single-player campaign.

Only if you feel like playing at night, considering most people in EU are asleep when NA is playing, and NA is still at work/school when EU is playing.

And it wouldnt increase the game’s population in general, which is what’s causing the problem in the first place.

A merge is a band-aid, not a solution.

we just need “cross server queque dungeon” as they promised us during the contribuitors period

And cross server AH too !!!

Not all though. And I’m tired of sniping the peak online to Q for 175 dun and actually get in within 20 minutes.[quote=“EternalDream, post:30, topic:322314”]

Do you have a magical solution to increase the population? Or for the population to not decline three times during the next year?

This game has its limits even with a proper management.

Instead of queuing, you could always make a premade party and enter that wa-oh wait, gameplay issues makes premade parties unable to enter. Guess what, that takes much more priority than a server merge ever would.

One “magical solution” would be to actually fix things that’s making people leave. A steady but low population is still good enough, but ToS’s is declining, not steady.

I’m actualy queing for 600% EXP.

It is always declining first 1-2 years. But TOS population decline faster because of its poor management.

While sure, a steady decline is natural for MMOs, ToS’s is anything but steady. It’s more like a car rolling down a cliff that’s about to crash and burn but there’s a magical pool of water next to it that could potentially still prevent that from happing.

Now it’s up to IMC to steer said car into the pool.

50k -> 8k in first 4.5 months seems near the average MMO decline.

For a game as hyped as ToS was (there were quite a lot more than 50k during the CBTs and we’re not including kToS here which is also on a heavy decline), it’s still going downhill much faster than similarly hyped MMOs.

It’s anything but average.

klai has 800 players discounting bots during primetime

orsha has 200 players discounting bots during primetime

maybe we should all go to a private server instead

137 subtract bots in orsha right now might increase on Saturday prays :innocent:
