You are dumb the 9,000 is a dragon ball Z refference. I am not the first to point this out. The addon has been out for about a week but for somereason only the arde dagger video was released on tuesday… So it took the person who made the video 5 days of farming cubes to get the dagger… Sounds real lucky to me

Maybe you should read on this. The script used a lua buffer overflow exploit to manipulate the seed used by the game engine, which will control the rng factor to improve your luck.
for those still believe that addon is just a simple script your wrong! you are all blind with the simple help this addons bring to you! beyond that thing those coders dig deep! squeezing more juicy data mining which they could take advantage off!

if you really want to know more learn that lua decrypting thing, you will see all tos stuff, models, maps, background, audio, as in all the the source code! learn how those stuff works… then you could reverse the way you want it

All the addons do is use existing commands they do not make holes or hack the software or anything they take advantage of commands already built into the game.
Allowing other players to mod an original game is not the issue here. There are other games like Stardew Valley that have turned out to be amazing thanks to other players creating new things for the game itself. In this case, it’s the fear/lack of control this company has when it comes to modifications and code security.
In SD’s case, ConcernedApe was OK with players modding the game and adding their personal grain of salt. After all, CA did everything himself without any stable financial support or a well-known company to back him up. For ToS, things aren’t going well. The staff won’t communicate with the players or if they do, they just give out robotic responses. IMC has not given out a full statement on addons, making the issue a bit shady and confusing. On top of that, the game is in a precarious state, unlike Stardew Valley.
Some of these addons are very intrusive and they pretty much inject the code into memory and other components. There’s no control or a pattern to keep track of these things because the company is concerned with other things, such as RMTs, latency issues and performance. Tampering with data is not the issue at hand, but the malicious intentions behind these “user-friendly” addons.
As we all know, RMTs aren’t going anywhere. It’s not about eradicating it, it’s about control and quarantine. The goal is to keep these things at minimum, but due to recent events, it seems the issue has spiked to a point it’s beyond control.
To wrap this up, maybe this company should definitely give up on managing the game if they can’t handle the heat or partner up with others to provide a better service. The game is amazing, but the management is just terrible.
