The loading screens are vital to their marketing. How else would you ever know there’s new stuff to spend money on if there wasn’t a load screen every second? Kids these days getting fancy updates and content patches, back in my day we just got files to swap loading screens for new support packs.

I hope IMC doesn’t mind us tweaking a lil’ bit of their game files. This could be against their Terms but then again, this isn’t like that hook and just a very minor thing, so I guess it’s fine 
is there anyway to replace the 2x goddess screen at server selection menu ?
i prefer plain wallpaper for that than an animated 1…

Loading screens are 20 secs at most for me.
20 seconds is still to long… I get bored and start surfing when a load screen comes up. Truth be told… I’d probably tab out if it was only 10 though.

I’ll admit I’m playing on a toaster, but I don’t understand how Tera loaded faster than ToS does. It’s not like Tera is a marvel of optimization. And thanks for the loading screen tip, now I’ll be able to fap while I wait without alt-tabbing. If only we got loading screens while on mission queues…

Load screen issues are an issue on your end, whether you have too high of a ping from the server you are on or too awful a processor. currently my load screens are 5-10 seconds.
I now this game is poorly optimized but for me, even on full towns load instanly, and i have a shitty PC, can you post your specs to see better?
nah not playing on an toaster, they are back to normal, was just the day after maintenance, literally took me 2min to load, back to normal but the fan art still sucks, you can tell the pool of art to choose from is dwindling rapidly as ppl continue to run screaming from this game

Lol at this thread, load times in other MMOs I ever played only max out at 2s at most, TOS takes like 5s at least on a normal day.

Just ignore jchsc32, they’ll never be happy. 
Loadscreens are rather long and there’s so many of them.
This game doesn’t feel like a world at all because every map is separated by another loadscreen.
Log in character - loadscreen
Teleport to saalus - loadscreen
Talk to an npc and enter the instance - loadscreen
Kill a boss in a few seconds and exit instance - loadscreen
Repeat another 2 times - More loadscreens
At this point I’m spending more time in loadscreens than actively playing the game
