yu do hg farming , its aredy beyond casual for me
Aha… I get it now. So basically when drakes are summoned, you need to gtfo the area and kill them far away. Seems that Velcoffer can use Reversi on the pillars’s protection
Touché
Well sometimes I give myself a challenge. That time it was: craft a Terrallion. So I spent ages getting those flowers
. And I said I got little time to play so the HG sessions are usually very short
. Although recently I’ve found something more interesting to do: leveling up level 300 alts in fields. You cannot imagine how many shards you can get…
Here’s the problem: ET is a “n” type of dungeon, while Velco is a “n+1” type of dungeon.
If you were a totally new player discovering the game, you would take your time leveling up a char to 360 and get decent but not OP gear. You would have done the quests, some instanced dungeons, leveled up your skills and attributes, and spared some money to buy the equipment you couldn’t get otherwise, while doing daily Saalus and getting shards. In the end, you would probably have a full primus 350 set, enchanted to +8/+12 or so (yes… whatever you can see from other people, it is usually the average value you can obtain before running out of potential and then using golden anvils), then transcended to stage 2-5. At this point, you’re probably set for any “level n” content.
So what to do at this point? My answer would be: do your weekly ET runs while continuing to improve your character. That’s what I’m planning to do with my 360 warlock. Because ET is tailored for level 360 characters. While I’m not playing ToS, I’m playing a little roguelike game called Angband. In this game, the maximum level your character can reach is 50. Your goal is to kill the final boss of the game… but trying to do so when just reaching level 50 would be suicide – you need to maximize your character’s potential (stats, skills, equipment, resources) before having a chance to do so.
That’s exactly what happens in ToS with Velcoffer: you can enter at level 360, but you need to be “ahead of the pack” if you want to do so comfortably. And looking at what the devs said… the rewards from V raid will be better than the next batch of regular items, which clearly states that Velcoffer is a “n+1” dungeon at this time. Let’s be optimistic and say we’ll get new content in less than six months: new maps opened (there are still a lot on the world map), new level cap of 390, new level 380 items. This will make V raid much easier to undertake. So why not wait a bit…
Now the only problem that is remaining: if you have a hard time shouting for a V raid party, imagine how it is to put up a party for clearing ET30… Feel free to join me at anytime
Big problem:
- most advanced players already have full miki set, not interested of doing ET again, keeping entries for V raid
- regular players having to unlock the Solmiki part stuck with no party to do so (or failing 13F over and over because nobody has a 15F symbol
) - random people joining not prepared for ET at all (same as for Velco, just one dungeon tier earlier
)
Otherwise ET is really fun to do. You get a chance at breaking the Saalus/dungeon/farming routine and you get shiny legendary items at the end. Sure it’s “level n” legendary items and not “level n+1” like the Velcoffer stuff, but they’re still shiny
. No idea what’s the actual drop rate of those essences (I usually get 3 per run in average), but if I want to get those 4 pieces of miki gear I plan to get, it’s gonna take me… 40 weeks to do so with one character
. Plenty of time to wait for more stuff
.
PS: I plan to unlock Solmiki with my best alt so I can reduce that time to 20 weeks
Now I’ll need a party to pass 13F because I only have a 10F symbol on that char
Other problem: shouts are usually done by people in guilds who only have 3-4 people at hand. When you join, you have the chance that more guild mates become available and you just get thrown out of the party.
Maybe I should simply join a guild…
They just don’t have basic manners at all, you can try whisper the one who kicked you to see what they would answer.
Unless you had very low specs computer and serious issues with your internet and die like 10 times in a row, there is no legit reason to instant kick someone like that even if guilds members that are interested are doing a whim after logging in (some guilds won’t tolerate sudden logged in members wanted to kick the last one just to get the spot).
And what can i say after 1 month
I see Adventure journal, i see my 6k points and 200 place for me/
We have around 200 active players on all erver with 1.8-2k in peak
its like 10% with all players on steam
Idk why staff do it nothing with this
Let’s take a look into tos forum as it has been a while since last time. Situation is still shitty, IMC doesn’t care and people still struggle.
Advice: Just quit already. Has been a good decision. Cheers!
