okay just got back, I dont know what the issue was but i now am back in the forest.
I got the same problem going from Royal Mausoleum 3F to 4F. Character select shows 4F. Can’t change channel or get on my other character that’s on a different map.
Update:
I verified the game files on Steam (right click game in library -> properties -> local files -> verify integrity of game cache) and redownloaded the 4 files that were broken. It did not work the first time, but verifying a second time did fix the problem.
Also kudos to the support team for their prompt response to my ticket.

just happened to me when I was changing to the lvl 223 map I can get on my alt though he doesn’t get the same error for some reason
Hey guys, this is the solution that worked for me:
-Choose another server
-logout
-pick your server and change channel to 1.
i know its weird , but worked for me.

Just changing channels fixed it for me.
Restart your client & try changing channel before entering after restarting
This seems to just be commander load fail 2.0

From Klapedia server. I got on, warped to Stele road, clicked a chest on the way to another map, disconnected, and this popped up. Team name Cafe.
I had the same problem, just change servers than come back to your original one and try again (also change channels, just cuz)

This worked: select other server, created a team, went back to klai and done
Don’t even need to create a team, just press cancel and you’ll come back to the server page.

This work for me, i log in from another PC and move away my character from the map.
you can ask a friend to log with your account.
I had the same error, I completely closed out of Steam, re-logged in and it fixed the issue for me. No clue what set it off or why this fixed it.
Hope that also fixes it for some of you!
I am getting this problem in Nahash Forest
I Did all of the steps above, verified the game multiple times now.
The first time said 2 files need to be redownloaded, then the second was 6 files.
IT downloads the old patcher then now it says I’ve failed to connect through the new patcher saying there is a connection problem.
