Fresh start is a brilliant idea tbh. A lot of people will be back and more importantly gonna drop $ on the new server because it isn’t tainted which also benefits IMC wallets.
However, it has one major flaw in this fresh start idea which is… is IMC capable of learning from their mistake and not let all the bots/exploits/bugs/hook64/etc that has been happening on the current servers come back to the fresh start server?
If it were me, my answer will be no because if there’s anything I learn from playing this game is that they are completely incompetent.

Many people would stop to play too. 
Who cares 90% of the players now are not legit at all. Good riddance if you ask me. Even then, there’s no point discussing about this because IMC is just too incompetent to implement the stuff that is needed.

Based on what are you saying 90% of the server is illegitimate? And imc would never choose a possible solid player base, instead of an already solid one .

I’ve tried to argue against wipe in a variety of ways already but let me put some simple hypothetical questions now.
Before anything, ALL games have exploits, in one way or another. It’s impossible to write an all big software perfect on first try. You can try to cover all cases with testing and etc and reduce the occurrences where the exploits reaches live servers. Even though, some design itself may be flawed even though there’s no code error (rewards for rankings) and etc.
Consider the scenario along with your own assumption that 90% of players aren’t legit.
All servers are wiped. Fresh start.
Few weeks/months later you discover:
- There was some old bugs/exploits/etc that weren’t fixed.
- No software is perfect, someone found one exploit that was never found before.
- Major update, introduced new unexpected exploits.
- Some reward system, players abused.
- Someone reappeared from shadows and made hack/cheat tools.
Will you keep wiping the servers each 6 months, 1 year or 2-3 years? Will you rollback servers even if some bug was abused since start but never reported or came to attention?
So, considering these scenarios, do you think that one wipe would actually solve anything?
What about the hypothetical 10% legit players? Aren’t their effort and time put on the game valuable? And if they’re players with end-game/Solmiki parts farmed over months? Will you give compensation to them? Wouldn’t the compensation itself be unfair? Will those 10% legit players want a wipe?
Wouldn’t the wipe of 10% legit players actually make returning/new players afraid of losing their own progress later on if the wipe reason wasn’t clear or not big enough for the wipe itself?
I’m in favor of opening new servers and keeping old ones alive. But not now.
It is almost the same thing as one wipe in some ways. Will you keep opening one server after another with all implications and consequences?
Leave it for new content later on when most things are really fixed and there are better content. Open new servers along great changes like Combat Changes, Rank 9 or something else later on with some event to help people level and gather new people for a fresh server.
Make it a big thing and then it will bring new/returning players. Blindly opening new servers or wiping old servers will just split the player base or drive people away. But if done correctly even most of old players would move to a fresh server.
Maybe a wipe should occur in the current STAFF,
BOT_Francis should be rescheduled and, of course,
Stop the growth of scrip…rabbits in the forum;
We need to save TOF.

Game isn’t even close to end game yet. All equipment will be outdated at some point so just play the game.

Tru. These forums are stupid.
Assuming game lasts that long. Assuming all MMOs are continually updated until they shut down, there’s no such thing as a real end game.
If the game ever stops being “do dailies every day on 10 characters or RMT if you ever want to progress in a meaningful way” I’d hop on a fresh server and never look back. But yeah you’re right as long as the game is still like this there’s no point in opening new servers because it’ll just be the same cycle repeating itself.

People coming back to the game basically want a fresh server to they don’t feel left behind. Sorry, but no. There’s no actual way that another SA server would be remotely useful. If you think they’re having problems with 1, do you think they’ll magically become the greatest ever with 2 to handle? Holy crap man, this post is one of the worst i’ve seen here lately.

The game can’t run for free you know.
It’ll take a week or two to end up on the same state as all the other servers anyhow…So what’s the point of a new server.
