Not all clerics are pvp meta. Stop.
Stop makes you immune to direct damage, but any kind of indirect damage (done through debuffs, that still affect targets on stop) is intended to deal damage.
Even I have asked them once:

Pardoners can cleanse it and high spirit pardoners always resist it. Not that it matters. The onslaught that follows usually kills your team before you have a chance to heal and reorbit yourself.
PvP in this game is and always has been retarded. Transcending has only made it worse.
Top 10 players are now people with Stage 5 armor and Stage 10 weapons.
I’m not sure why Stop gets so much hate when there are tons of similar, or even worse, CC effects out there.
At least Stop makes you immune against most attacks and the only skills that can hit you are ground-based skills. Effects like frozen, raise or hook on the other hand still let pretty much all damage through.
On top of that there are tons of skills that protect against it or remove it (teamplay, remember?) and it’s rather easy to resist it with a bit of spr, if i remember correctly (also, wasn’t there a card that gives status effect reistence? Can’t remember).
If your argument is that no one should expect a party to always have a level1/2 status effect remover in his party… well then : why are you complaining about Stop specifically and not level 1/2 CC skills in general?
Stop CCing enemies and being able to damage them with relatively few skills = OMG OP.
Other classes using other CC skills to disable enemies and most/all skills are able to hit the enemy = ok/acceptable?
