Cannot get past the launcher

Bug Description : I’m continuously verifying and clean reinstalling the game but nothing ever works.

Steps to reproduce the issue :

  1. “Play Now” in steam
  2. 0%
    Arranging Data
    100%
  3. Then the launcher just shows “0%”
  4. Launcher closes

Update to latest graphics card drivers

Disable microsoft windows UAC

Run steam with admin rights

Clean malware off pc if any.

  1. Geforce Experience shows that I have the latest drivers.
  2. I have no UAC, I can run everything in admin mode.
  3. Tried that.
  4. I have no malware on my PC.

Might be a hard drive problem or wherever steam is installed. Check if your hard drive is failing or ssd w/e.

If my memory dont fail, i fixed that problem deleting all the XML files from:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\TreeOfSavior\release

ALL

and later i ran, check the integrity of the files on steam.

The weekly maintenance is going on right this moment, so you’re not going to have any luck.

same happening to me … this particular patch file

then after 72% i get an error … restarted my pc and will see if this continues …

Edit: this always popup after …

open release.revision.txt with notepad that is located in tos “release” file and simply copy there first 6 letters of patch that is failing to download… in your situation its 224611

try verifying files via steam

tried and still wont go ingame

  • Verified Files
  • Downloaded new files
  • Updated 100%
  • Game Launches
  • Steam Status > Running
  • Screen then disappears …
  • Steam Status > none

Edit: Tried another Verify and this one stops at this and doesn’t move …

but it looks like problem with game files

did u try to delete all xml files from “release” tos folder and then verifying files?

Got it to work finally … deleted xml files and let it verify ( the time it took was 1hour+ long ) seems like I resintalled all the patches lol …

now i’m back online whew … XDDD

these files are like 15MB progress seems slow but im glad it worked

now you can login just to find out that someone kidnapped kupole’s and stole few cosmetics from shop
