When you have a huge playerbase, you will also get a huge amount of bad players. That’s not even common sense, that’s math.
When you have a huge community base of bad players you cannot understand, that just intensifies the situation. Honestly, every mmo I’ve played has had a huge latin america community before. Why is that? I have no idea, I just know they do rude things and don’t know they’re being rude. Or maybe they do, who knows.
But I think the QOL would really improve if LA just get their own localization. They have such a huge demographic base of gamers, why don’t they? TF

Brazilians have been NOTORIOUS for causing massive social issues in F2P games and private servers. There is a reason why BR has such a ring to it. There is a reason why most people want them region locked or IP banned.
The majority of BRs have this mentality that is more of a hive mind. They play only together and refuse to integrate. Thats why they are seen always asking for BRs, refuse to speak English on English speaking servers and harrass/abuse things and cause grief. Its not just here, but in many games.
The people screaming about donald trump and racism are retarded, because Brazil is not a race. Its a country with a very diverse makeup of whites,blacks and latin people. The thing is though, that they dont care about anyone or anything other than other brazilians. Why do you think that many private tracking torrent places and F2P games either IP ban them or Region Lock them? Because for some unknown reason? Why do you think many people dont want them on their servers? Because they dont adhere to the same mindset as others, they just do what they want and dont care. Now obviously this doesnt need to be said but this is not all of them. But for the most part they just run around, grief and cause havoc.
To be honest though, we all want to play with our own kind. English servers for english speakers, Port servers for port speakers and Korean servers for korean speakers.
I have played many MMOs and private servers and have seen many a times where this has just caused issues by not separating regions and telling people to “deal with it” when it comes to things like language barriers. Its basically telling them to suck it.

Man, I do understand what you’re saying but it’s kind of harsh saying that every brazilian is like the source of all problems of the world and stuff like that xD Seriously, there’s many brazilians who hides their nationality so then can play and enjoy the game without being insulted.
I understand the issue with most of em speaking in portuguese on shoutchat but man… Do you realize that every country has that kind of toxic player? The one that does not follow the rules and just want to have things on his way? That’s what i’m talking about.
I play as a FS Priest and I kind of lost the count of how many Ksers just ran at me and started trolling me like, following my charater and killing the mobs i was going after. The best part of it? I saw the same guys using the very same things that some folks are speaking here so yeah, those where not brazilians, that’s for sure.
Anyways, too much hate at the same place… Guys, really? Just chill for a while. lol

They arent the source of all problems but they are the source of SOME problems. Its just because of how they are culturally. They are more homogeneous instead of individual and tend to only seek out their own instead of wanting to play with anyone outside their country. If you dont speak their language, you are probably not going to have a good time in their vicinity.
First off, dont use the word toxic. Its a shitty blanket term coined by Riot that was (over)used to sweep things under the rug while not really explaining what exactly was the problem.
Yes there are players from every country who cause issues to others. The main people who are the problem causers in the top three are Brazilians, Russians and Austrailians. Those are the main three in any online community that you will see a good portion of issues arise from. Its a mentality that they have where they dont care unless you are apart of their culture. Its very culturally driven to a point where if you are an outsider you arent worth much. I could do an actual study on this and bare actual results. Though I would be called all sorts of things like Racist and bigot, I would still have more proof than they would like to admit.
Its not BECAUSE they are brazilians or whatever, its because of their homogeneous hive mind that causes these issues. They have probably one of the most computers per square mile for ANY country and yet you can consider Brazil 3rd world. But the kicker is that they have TONS of money. Brazil is a very complex country who’s politics are not for beginners. Hell right now they are about to go into civil war over their leader’s shady dealings with a government owned company giving them millions if not billions of dollars in kickbacks and half the senate, the president and ex president are involved.
Believe me when I say I know more about this ■■■■ than most. Id rather them integrate but its just not who they are. They are more willing to be on the outside than learn english and play by english server standards.

Yup, I understand. I do agree at some point but it’s kind of sad when all of the brazilians take the blame because of this. Like, for example, i’m a brazilian myself and i got tons of friends from all over the world. I speak with them by using skype, steam and even TOS chat because most of em are playing it atm.
Seriously, i’m not going to say that you’re racist or things like that because i do understand why you’re so mad at the brazilians since i’m also mad with most of em. Everytime i play a international game i follow the rules and so i’m able to have fun. Yesterday for example I spent almost 3 hours chatting and doing some archivements with some friends from US and they do know i’m brazilian and thankfuly they still treat me like a good friend. xD Anyways, it’s kind of sad seeing how much we are hated but once again, i do understand the reasons behind it, which makes me even more sad. Oh dear… haha.

See you are the “1%” that speaks english, doesnt do the bullshit and wants to just play the game. Thats fine and dandy. But its kind of hard when you look to the left and right and see everyone else going crazy while you are over there just trying to be you.
Its ■■■■■■ up pretty much. Its like being muslim and doing your own thing and then you have people with your own religion screaming “oh hey we are terroists, we are muslim and we are killing everyone who isnt mulsim” on tv while you look around the bar…and everyone is staring back at you. Thats basically how it is.
BR has a ■■■■■■ rep that probably wont recover at all. Its too comical and the punching bag of too many jokes while still striking true.
The best BRs dont want to admit they are from brazil because they know full well what it will entail. So they keep their mouth shut, play the game and just do what they do. You will never know the good brazilians are brazilian because they dont act like the stereotype. It sucks for them but until the entirety of their online community can act correctly it wont change at all.

About your “wall text”, IP block does not solve anything, we could still play TOS just like we play “Global” Maple Story.
My suggestion is to make a RULE to speak only in English when it comes to global chat, but again, its "I"TOS, and not "NA"TOS.
I see EU and SEA servers, but i have yet to see a NA server.

You can’t do math on whether or not brazilians are the most toxic player base, since we tend to hide our nationality due to people being xenophobic in online games.

Not ALL, but a good 50+% of them id say at least. I have had many many experiences with them on past mmorpgs, and i’ll tell you it wasn’t pretty. The reason this thread exists is because it’s common occurrence, that BR gamers, in general, i’m not saying as people, but as BR gamers they are toxic and overwhelming. They horde into a lot of mmorpgs like a swarm of rats they only speak their language, they clutter the chat with it, and the worst of the worst they beg and beg and beg. ex: GO UP ME BLS? I CAN HAS ITEN? MONIES?..ahuaehaaehuaehauehaue UP BLS. kkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk
And that’s not even it, the reason I hate BR’s as gamers the biggest reason is a past conflict I have had with a bunch of them. I am not sure if you are familiar with an mmorpg called “Dark Eden” but I used to play this mmo like crack, an insane thing is for some reason BRs love this game they love it so much that I saw more BR players on it than I did english players and thats ON AN ENGLISH SERVER!
Now back to that conflict…on Dark Eden there are 3 races: Vampire, Slayers, and Ousters. It’s big on PVP, and you can’t talk to the other races unless you have this special passive skill. So I was fighting a group of slayers one day when they spoke to me in broken english…BR? they ask me BR? I say no I can only speak english…and they say OK u dead…they proceed to swarm and kill me just because I was an english player and from then on I hated BR gamers more than I ever did.
I am not saying that are all like this, there are good BR gamers, but from my experiences and obviously quite a few others is toxic behaviour.

See you are probably someone who just started playing videogames and havent been around for RO private servers, WoW private servers, many early F2P games (Tibia rings a bell) that brazilians have gotten into and did not want to intergrate.
Do you understand? INTERGRATE. Meaning that they chose to not be apart of the community but instead wanted to do things their own way. Which was was that? Well lets see. Anyone not BR gets PKed. Gets their mobs stolen or Trained on (they group up a bunch of mobs and run them into a player and cause the aggro to shift to them, practically killing them without pvp), use exploits and hacks to just grief, flood the report systems with falsified reports and do it en mass causing the player they do it to many problems. Then they spam chat on ENGLISH servers in NON ENGLISH meaning that it disrupts the people who joined the english server for english. Its very hard to talk or follow conversations when there is another language constantly being posted. Its frustrating.
This is from MANY years of experience and hell even other brazilians can say “Yes this does happen and it makes us look bad”. It sucks for them.
But the main thing is that you came in here, thought people were being a bigot when in reality they were tired of the stuff going on that could just be resolved if they had their own server. Brazilians dont like to play with other people and only play with Brazilians. Ever wonder why they ask for BR or if you speak Portuguese? You know next to nothing about any of this and just throw ■■■■ around like “YOUR A BIGOT” No thats not the case. Ignoring the elephant in the room gets you nowhere and just causes issues. If you dont understand this then perhaps go join a few private RO servers that are classified as “english only”.

This was an image created due to the issues that occured on RO private servers that were vastly popular. It was practically a “literal race war” as a site called it due to the Portuguese speaking vs the Non Portuguese speaking. this was back in like 2002-2004 in between that? It caused a massive amount of ■■■■ and it just spiraled out of control. The nationalities I posted were what many have experienced to be horrible in online communities. Australia is up there because the previous owner of the site 4chan reported his statistical data on Australians and “■■■■ posting” meaning that they derail threads and caused utter havoc.
For people who have been around a bit and have see many things on many different private servers and F2P (RO, Tibia, Ultima Online, EQ) it usually down to either the Russians or the Brazilians that cause the most problems. Now you may have tinted glasses and cant see due to being biast but Private servers have to IP ban them due to how many issues they cause.
Again it sucks and Id rather it not be this way but im a realist that only reports what I have seen first hand. I dont care for one side or another. I dont give a single ■■■■ where you are from as long as you dont cause problems. But when you have a good amount of problems come from a specific area, you cant just say “its not all of them” and ignore that pink elephant.
Again its not racism if its a ■■■■■■■ COUNTRY. REMEMBER THAT BRAZIL IS MADE UP OF MANY DIFFERENT RACES. IT IS NOT RACISM.
It just shows how most people are ignorant about the country and that they dont understand that Brazil is more a close knit society even with online anonymity. They would rather play with their own and say screw everyone else than integrate.

This is exactly the same kind of thing that happened on my Dark Eden servers I played on, and they are the main reason I don’t play any more. They don’t like anyone that is not BR, with the exception of a very few of them.

I can say the reason why you dont see that on euro sites. Because they have this thing called “hate speech law” meaning that if its something someone doesnt like and includes any nationality or race…its considered a felony where they can be thrown in jail or prison for years.
Europe is ■■■■■■ and thats why you dont see any threads on it. Its practically liberal reich over there. I know about politics in general and follow brazil since its a very very complex and dangerous place.
That entire place is segregated by rich poor and race and politics. That entire place is rife with scandal. Hell one of your leaders used their criminal past as a platform saying “im a crook but you know ill do it better in favor of us” or something like that.
This entire thing is a result of YEARS of culmination of stuff from many games and many people. Its a life of its own. This is why you guys, the ones who dont deserve it take so much flack. You dont deserve it, you act like a regular person and are lumped in with the majority of people messing everything up.
