Well, you’ve led every part of your argument with personal attacks. What any of us do outside of the game should be completely irrelevant to the content of our posts.

The objective of this entire thread was to weed out some of the RMT that plagues our game. I don’t think anyone believes that RMT will ever end.

Suggestions that we should just completely remove trade and market to eliminate RMT is wasted effort. That just turns into account sales instead.

What we need are ways to discourage RMT without negatively affecting the legitimate players. There are plenty of ways to do so that don’t involve 48-hour delays on collecting silver from the market, no silver trading, limited monthly trades, etc.

I see plenty of people that post really shitty replies that do not add anything to the thread. If you want to be one of the toxic players that only post worthless drivel and personal attacks, so be it.

Do not blame RMT as the cause, blame bad game mechanics that prevent players from properly enjoying the game. nobody has time to grind 8 ~ 12 months to make 100mill silver to max out all attributes and have have +10 everything, especially when IMC constantly patches in more restrictions against botters which has not effect against botters at all, and instead makes it more of a hassle to real players to make silver legitimetely

If Tree of Savior had a decent marketplace/economy, and all the prices were reasonable and players never have too much of a problem grinding to make silver to buy stuff, RMT wouldnt be too much of an issue

If everything were properly tradable, It would encourage legit buy & sell and make gameplay much better for the players

If the game is going to have one big paywall that prevents free trade between players, limits what you can buy/sell/price to the marketplace, and not allow any trading to characters on your own account (without a token, and with a token u get one inventory space in team storage)

Then obviously its going to be much cheaper and much easier for players to buy whatever they need from botters and RMT instead.

Well I would suggest IMC to deal with their f2p account system. Before they closed off new players you could just create an account and be ready to play.

Steam has a requirement for new accounts for new accounts to purchase atleast one game to take part in adding friends or setting up their profile.

IMC could take this further and require at least 20 dollars or whatever arbitrary number they come up with invested into a steam account to play the game. It’s not quite pay to play and it would slow down the flow of bots I think.

And I know it seems like a hassle but if you don’t have 20 dollars worth of games in steam by now, what are you doing with your life?

You’re right, my posts went off thread. Bottom line here, you can not completely get rid off RMTs.

As for the FB group, members of that group are non-botters. The Sellers, grind just like us but harder. Buyers dont have patience to grind, just wait 2-4months most of them will quit.

Ban the botters not the players, just give the players (both buyer and seller) a penalty that they will regret but still have the passion to play.

Before you start playing any game, there are laws and rules player should abide. much like EULA.

if you think the game stopping your from doing BOT/RMT abuses your right as a player. you are more than Welcome to properly file Case against them… might earn you a fortune too.

Actually sharing account is illegal and it’s easier to detect accounts that have different IPs accessing it.

But still, removing all trades from the game kills the essence of a MMORPG…The game is in a tight spot :frowning:
