If they really got hacked shouldn’t people change their password if they use the same combination of username/e-mail and password for other sites and games?

This guys is why you don’t use the same password you use for very important sites (Banks, id-related) on gaming sites. They have very different security. One is much more vulnerable than the other.
Funny thing is I don’t remember my username or password for the website. I didn’t even get an email 
What if I just clicked on the link on the forums? I didn’t register with ToS fan base though will I be safe?
Then you are okay, I believe, you can ask the site devs on their post here on the forum.
in a situation like this, we recommend to change the password you had to a new one, just to be safe. But to let you and the others know, the passwords were stored encrypted in the database, so the attacker did not got access to your passwords in plaintext.

they fixed it by remaking accounts
