Ragnarok Online fell into the trap of “balancing” skills via gear, which is a horrible idea, since essentially it’s tieing the character to only a specific kind of gear while making everything else, including future gear, useless unless they’re even more powerful versions of the only equip you’re already using.

You cant apply logic to the ToS marketplace, when cards were un-tradable a couple months after the removal of them from quests people were asking on average 2.5million for a 10star card via trade, be it buying a potion from them on market and then playing them in cards etc, then once the cards became sellable on the market, making it easier, the price basically more then doubled to 5.5million on average for/or to make a 10 star card.
When we get a new exploit every month, lets say for example the free 278,567,768,324 gem abrasives people got on the moronic seed event the matching market prices never go down, they stay the same or even rise.
Its not supply and demand, its blind greed, this game has the slimiest, most cut throat community of any online game ive seen in my 19 years online. People just gouge you left and right and turn around and sell the silver to gold sites or trash like Kirito.
