This is going to be more of a quick rant than anything else, but I wouldn’t mind seeing any responses from players or staff members. Is there any way that it can be confirmed that Team Names are correctly available/unavailable?
I ask this because I started on the Orsha server, and have recently been asked to change over to Kleipeda. On Orsha I and a few of my friends all got the names we wanted and usually use. Now, on Kleipeda, we can’t seem to get anything at all, even including some of our usual monikers that we use that are literally never taken anywhere else. I won’t post examples, but things like unique spellings of names/words/etc.
The only thing that leaves me wondering is that maybe Team Names can’t be shared across servers, so even if there’s (for example) a ToS1234 on Fedimian, there can’t be one on the other servers. And if that’s the case, it feels pretty dumb and could use some rethinking.
So, really, I guess my issue is that I’m just in disbelief that so many names are taken in such a short time. I’ve been a part of many games’ CBT and OBT phases and if all of these Team Names are in fact taken, I’ve never once seen names get eaten up this rapidly, especially when one username covers all of your characters.
