Anyone else find the story athmosphere really "dark"?

Cute picture and forum name, really. I love crabs and wanted to keep one as a pet as a kid, considering I live in a country that has fishing as one of its main industries.

Back to topic, Already have that book…I really should update the wiki some time with the readable books and characters…so far that only character I’ve worked on that is not a goddess is Grita, and with the apparent future introductions of Jurate, Dalia, and Vibora (could an actual Lithuanian, or Latvian, answer me as to who or what she is by the way, I looked her up and she doesn’t seem to exist) and many readable things, it’ll take up a lot of my time.

After the goddesses and readables, my priority are Hauberk, Inesa Hamondale, Dionys, Gesti, Vaiga, Helgasercle, Bramble, Marnox, the other demon lords, the mysterious girl, then I can get to work on Maven and his three diciples…eventually. If anyone wants to help with the wiki, please do so, just don’t add fanon theories and interpretations please. As of right now there are still missing details on Maven himself so I can’t work on his disciples yet either.

I received 4 books with tales of her from Ranger Master as a reward to my Ranger C2. I don’t have it with my Swordsman and I really liked it!

Click here to see a list of available books with contents. If you click on a particular book, the text belonging to the book will appear. If you see any typos or oddly phrased sentences, please send a PM to me as I can fix those.

I don’t really get the main story yet but, today I found the most touching quest I’ve done in the game [possible spoiler ahead]

Man, I really want to know the entire story, like, for real. ugh

KABBBBBBBBBBBBOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMM

Cause I know no one will read this book so screw spoilers…

Reminder to self: The books in Mokusul and Eternal Resting Place needs to be archived in the wikia ASAP. Hauberk page too.

You kidding? I read all the books as I go along, while resting for SP (yes I’m cheap).

I find it just grim and dark enough for the theme, actually. One of the weirdest quest was (early levels spoiler) the one where you mind control some poor turtles and walk them to the sacrificial pit. Man… those things looked sad…
Or the one where you have to defeat boss monster, but it’s actually possessing a man… and you technically killed him. And then you have to BURY him.

I find the storyline quite entertaining tbh. Most people never take the time to read and enjoy it.

I just love reading and I like this game story cause it leave me wanting to know more and more about everything :3

am currently here:

Crusades anyone?_?

I still don’t get why MMORPGs bother giving such complicated stories if they aren’t going to give you a journal/log book of them as you do them. For a game that asks you to grind over and over and oooover again to see the next chapter of the story, how the hell do they expect you to remember the previous chapters?

Is it really that hard to give the player a journal that records quest dialogues or something so you can look back at them as you go along? Or at least important scenes like Final Fantasy Tactics’ brave story log book? It’s okay for normal RPGs to get away with this in a sense because you progress through the story a lot faster than an MMORPG, but in an MMORPG, you progress through the storylines of the latter zones (if they even have a story at all) at a glacial pace with no way to go back and re-read previous chapters. It gets even worse when you reach the end of the content yet the story itself hasn’t ended, so you need to wait for the developers to update the game with the next chapter and have no saved record of the previous chapter to look back on.

Just ridiculous.

Thanks!

@jchang10931 the story moves along quickly enough here, by i agree a journal would be awesome, especially since the game isn’t done yet, but most of the storylines have at least a partial ending. This is a weak spot for MMORPGs in general

Hey guys, when you go to Coastal Fortress (lvl 204), can you confirm if the responsible for petrify curse was
Giltine or Gesti
?

Kupole Meile told me, but I forgot the right name of responsible.

Gesti, the demon queen.

EHEM!!!

Nice necro …

Back at topic, the dark atmosphere is caused by the ongoing IMC’ing!

huehuehue

you been so predictable is the reason I don’t play with you…

sheesh type something new for once D:

fun fact: I have a necromancer in-game, the story is always new to me cause my memory sucks and am extremely cute :3

Since this was necro’d let me ask something:

Do you guys also hope we at least get a GIltine final boss esque(since MMOs don’t final bosses per se) battle quest before the game dies?
(i’m going for the definition of servers closing forever here, not the “too low population to recover” hyperbole)

If we do, it will be close to the final levels (600), so be patient.
before the game dies
oh… Sorry.

Then it will be reanimated just to show the boss. Only to die again cause the life support machines stopped working.
