That’s not really a quest pal. It’s one of those achievements thing and you can’t read instructions…
It pretty much is. It doesn’t activate until you talk to the activator. Doesn’t matter if it rewards a gimmick point or a XP card, bro.
It doesn’t start automatically. You click it and then suddenly EVERY mob has it - doesn’t take a genius to figure out what you did.
Thing is: ppl didn’t want to complete it, they just wanted to get rid of the messages. Not everyone likes math =(
Just completed in Elgos - didn’t help
I had this “bug” too.
I had to went to Elgos and talk to the statue "give up"
The messages no longer re-appeared.
Guess you need to go to the statue where you began the riddle. (There are some on different maps)

Hi there! I had this problem too. I activated the one at elgos but the option to cancel it appeared in grynas lol. So try walking to grynas. It might help

I unfortunately started having this problem today…there needs to be a system that stops this from happening when you leave the map with the puzzle on it.
