you make it sound like your so sure about the plague doctor now i am assuming your using every excuse as it would be the same battle every time…

Lets put it this way depending on how people work as a team is what will define the victory you can try all the tricks that you know proclaiming this is p2w but if your the only one on the team using this method that is remotely good your still gonna loose no matter how you stretch it.

Me personally i don’t see this as p2w at all the only time i ever see something as p2w is if it makes it impossible to win vs someone or there is a item that cant be obtained in game or a event.

And even with the method you say it does not make a person invincible but pitiful because if you do still kill them they will normally respond with “OMG SO OP” that is more of a victory for me any day because i enjoy a challenge and i don’t like my victory’s handed to me on a silver platter.

You obviously is a casual that never did played a high level gvg/competitive game.

“Small” changes like stats reset can change tides in your favor easily. Learn to build and play before saying bullshit.

he would counter that with this - lets say it costs 15 dollar and somebody changes his stats every hour 20 times just to kill this and that guy and be 100% prepared - thatll be 300 dollar per hour - 3000 dollar in 10 hours 30000 dollars in 10 days - what did the guy win? nothing cause he still got the same amount of stats - but even then he gonna argue that xDDD dont even try

How much do you think some people profit in a hour? 15 dollar is ■■■■ for some people.

If you want to help retarded casuals make reset scroll with 30 days of CD as i already said.

If you need more than 1 reset per month you have mental disease and should be in a clinic.

having alot money is no excuse for wasting said money for null benefits in game - i wouldn waste 150 dollar just to change my stats back and forth for a few pvp fights thats insane and makes no sense

I come from YEARS in a game more hardcore than that… you die, all of your items AND all of your gold drop on the ground cursed for 15 minutes. You have 15 minutes to walk back to your corpse and pick up your items, surrounded by the same mobs that killed you WHILE you were wearing full gear and buffed up… AND you might be 25 minuets of a walk deep just to find your pile. 15 minutes after your pile drops it de-curses. if another hunting party was around the same map or making their rounds and stumble upon your un-cursed deathpile… its theirs to keep. Nice groups or people will world shout asking who lost their pile. Most people wont…

Or we can venture into D2 hardcore… you die you lose your char… How many hours did I clock in there… I dont think you are as sadist as some…

stat reset is just fine. convience is something gaming companies learned somewhere around 2005 and on. They need to appeal to as many demographics as possible. Sure you are hardcore and dont believe they should be there… thats just fine… but they will be there. and they dont break anything. You can even take that sick awesome stance of not ever buying 1 just to show all those plebs that did buy them it wasnt needed. Maybe you will get a special title lul

I’ve actually seen a lot of Monk players who have leveled as a Cleric -> Priest -> Monk without restating. They concentrated on STR and despite this doing this, they supported the party decently enough, as well as dealt out decent damage. Though, they did depend on a LOT of SP potions XD.

I actually contemplated the idea of a stat reset scroll when I was pondering at leveling my very own support cleric. Going the support route without any DPS ranks would be annoying to level. However, I decided against the idea of such a scroll when I took into consideration that the game allows stats and skill builds viable for almost every kind of play style. May that be, going INT/CON/SPR for a support build or a STR/DEX/CON for a DPS build.

You just gotta find the right synergy between ranks for the build you want.

I may have over exaggerated when I said stat resets can destroy the class balance. Since I had a bad experience in iRO when an Assassin Cross uses a stat reset and switches from full critical build with Enchanted Deadly Poison combo(High LUK/AGI autoattack burst), to a Soul Destroyer build (stacked INT for skill burst) and comes back into pvp and 1-2 shots everyone in the room and laughs.

So don’t take me as one of those P2W complainers, cause I already know it is P2W. And I’ll gladly give my money to the people who have saved me from the hell hole that is Warpportal and RO2. Cheers.

To combat this, you could say that a stat or skill reset takes several days to take effect. Then people can’t just switch builds on the fly

And yet, what prevents any player from creating one of those builds? Nothing. Given enough time they can have all 3, simply by making 2 more alts.
You dont have to argue with me, all you need to do is read what you had written. You are literally complaining that there were OP builds.
The fact that people were able to switch between them means literally nothing. Its the textbook definition of pay 4 convenience.

You tell me that i should not take you as “one of those” p2w complainers… you are hardly giving me any option here.

Whoa whoa, you’re leaving me no option but to argue with you good sir. I know you mean well but I clearly stated that they can adapt to the stats that they keep resetting into, not that they were OP builds, I also clearly stated that I over exaggerated(hence making me a complainer). Sorry for not making it too specific, but I was pointing out that the X build that can 1-2 shot could counter the Y build you have in that instance because of the stat reset. Whats stopping you from countering his X build? You not having enough character slots, the mentality to make a new account, or money while he has money for days to keep resetting. You’re taking my post too heavily, so please forgive my incompetence to type in an opinion and/or a statement.

Whats stopping me…? The fact that it costs money…? The fact that there is a cooldown of XY days on it? The fact that you are talking about an 1v1 situation which will hardly ever happen unless you ask specifically for a duel? I mean even pvp has 10v10 matches in it…
Etc…

This is really not a question of opinion. P2W is damaging for the game. P4C however doesnt change anything. Having the ability to reset once a month falls into the P4C category.

If you aren’t going to look for the hardway, just don’t go for monk… lol, when people was going to play as Monk on RO anyone was asking for a stat reset scroll…
