Hi , i have question about mods if i use mods like exp meter , exp viewer i got ban from. IMC ? Or VAC ? Sry for bad english.
There was a thread about people getting randomly VAC banned for using add-ons… I’m asking the same because believe me wall hugging to play Pixel Hunt for 100% gets annoying…
Exp metre the GM have said that it’s fine to use.
No other mod has been formally approved or disapproved. I’m sure they would announce that the mod wasn’t allowed before they banned people.
I knew they said but after Vac come i’m not sure to use again 
Mostly VAC scans memory for known cheats and hacks. .lua addons wouldn’t trigger this unless IMC manually added it to the list.
I’m using all the mods since the update and play fine.
Fogviewer and ExpViewer are approved.

You can’t change/add any file in the game, common MMO rule.

VAC only bans if you do anything IMC said they won’t allow. They (IMC) create some kind of black list and VAC bans everyone who uses Scripts/Macros/Bots/Cheats that are listed on this list. That’s what some people wrote in the thread where Staff_Julie the approval.

If you press M, unexplored areas on the map are highlighted with a red square. Saves you from “WTF I’VE EXPLORED EVERYTHING WHERE IS THE OTHER 3%”
This shouldn’t even be an addon but a feature in game. wtf
amen that, for all the nearly invisible black spot right in the corner that you thought was a spot of something on your screen and not the fuzzy unexplored 2 freakin pixels of map.
VAC bans direct editing/replacing of core .exe and .dll files, memory editors (like CE), and tools in a blacklist like you said. Other fileswaps are typically fine.
I highly doubt simple .lua scripts in the \addons\ folder will get flagged by VAC unless IMC specifically prohibits them. Or they’re blatant cheats/exploits, but you or the mod creator should be well aware of the intent.
So unless IMC sneaks it in without announcing it first, the worst I’d expect is a ban from the game itself, not Steam. These can be appealed.

IMC has said that exp viewer and fogmapper are both acceptable.
Steam bans are based around what the game dev says is bad.
i mean, some games are fully open to modding, so why would steam ban for that if the developer says it’s not a problem?
You won’t be VAC banned unless they decide to make any given mod a VAC bannable offense. At this point they’re probably discussing what mods they intend to allow and which they don’t. I imagine they’ll give at least some warning to which mods will be allowed before VAC bans become a concern. So relax for now and wait for an announcement.
