I think you should have started with this
Dafuq is this topic all about… if someone killed almost 9999 monster you probably have enough silver or buy the item someone need to trade for it. those are just common sense. no need to be math genius

Ok lets for the sake of arguement, lets just say that that we know FOR SURE that the drop rate for the arde dagger from a box is 5%
evaluate that binomal.
then explain how your result is useful to you ( or anyone for that matter) and how it’s IMC’s responsibility to provide that information

5% arde dagger drop chance can take me around 60 runs in the lvl90 dungeon, which lead to 20 days with one char or 10 days with two chars (both cases with token active). With 95% of assurance. Note this word: AROUND, this don’t means that will happen everytime, that’s the meaning of 95% assurance.
IMO i prefer to assume that i will not be the 5% unlucky guy, and will need around 60 runs to get the dagger. Because it’s my point of view, it’s my experience. For me, 95% it’s a damn big number.
For me 95% is big enough so i can assume those things.
You don’t see this way?
Do you disagree?
For you 95% isn’t good enough?
Okey. No problem. Like i said, it’s a range, it’s a interval. You can get the arde dagger in your first box if you are lucky, and you can get the arde dagger in your 186th box if you are unlucky.
But I prefer to bet that you will get the dagger around the 60th box.
The same way another guy can do a similar binomal (now with 90% assurance) and bet that you can get your weapon at the 45th box
If you don’t see this way, okey, It’s up to you.
Evaluating binomals can give me a good bet, not a preview of the future
If you don’t prefer to assume this, If you don’t like to evaluate this, and if for you RNG in MMOs are just about keep trying every single day until you get what you want, yes, evaluating those things will be very useless to you and you can just ignore all the things that i’ve said
And no, it’s not IMC responsibility to provide that information to me, if they want clarify us about droping tables, great!!
if they don’t, no problem, i will continue playing ToS normally without this
im just asking them about information, I’m not forcing anyone to do anything.
This sums up all my topic and all this sea of comments
Sorry, but I didn’t understand your point with this video
I am summing up the farm with this:
-> what i want
-> how many kills until i get what i want
If i put more variables like kind of monsters, my attack, my skills, my atributes, element of the monster, respawning times, size of the map, population of the mob, AoE skills, etc of course i will get more probabilities, and they will be dependent event like this video, and i will can evaluate even the time i can get that drop or more deeper infos.
But i am only interested on the kills until that drop.
Anyway, there is no dependent probability, the only probability here is : 5%, 0.01%, etc
I actually took the liberty of setting up a very simple code to show what a 5% drop rate may look like since I don’t think the RNG system in this game is really that complex. You open the cube and it runs this simple code to give the random chance.
As far as mobs go, the game can predetermine what a mob will drop when they spawn (Which is likely the case here) or they can determine it after the enemy has been killed (Not likely).
#100 runs, 4 daggers dropped, 96 talt. Sometimes only 2 daggers, sometimes 3, sometimes 1 (bad luck):

#50 runs, it fluctuates between 0 and 1, some very rare chances get 2 or 3 but those are rare.

#10,000 runs just for lols:

That’s all. Just thought I’d demonstrate a very simple RNG system since I feel the RNG system in this game isn’t THAT complex. As I continuously click “Play” to run the code, the super unlucky and super lucky people show up, but for the most party the RNG is pretty consistent with each play through meaning that the probability of you getting an item is based on the number of runs you do for the dungeon or enemies you kill in comparison to the drop rate. Unlucky and lucky people exist but they are just a minority with my testing here in my code.
Carry on
I know dude, but in this case you are creating random numbers to evaluate a RNG
The RNG of Tree of Savior or any game isn’t complex,
the game can predetermine what a mob will drop when they spawn
How do you know that info? I agree with you that the game seems to work with this, but i cannot be 100% sure about this.
I can even discover that I was completely wrong when someone releases an official information
This is what a called a complex, there is too much hidden info, in this sense many things about tthe drop system maybe complex, creating random numbers with a RNG (both ToS and your code uses RNG) isn’t and never will be hard
The drop system of a game is not only about RNG, it envolves many things, like respawns, drop penalties, the info that you said, etc, those things are complex
I particularly don’t like to use RNG to analyse another RNG, even if using that is much more easier (all that i need is basically use statistics and averages, like your code does)
Because i decided to not use RNG to analyse RNG, i should use math, and it’s obvious that when you use math it becomes much more complex to evaluate things
Unlucky and lucky people exist but they are just a minority with my testing here in my code.
???
That’s exactly what i have said on the entire topic
This chart is saying basicaly this, unlucky and lucky people are rare
I didn’t say I knew that info. I stated two possibilities and said it was “probably” the predetermined method after a mob will drop.
And why do hand math when you can mimic the code and have the computer printout how the RNG is working? I mean the old ways are cool I guess… lol.
This code is telling me RNG is working as intended.
I was “agreeing” with you…? Am I not allowed to agree with you? I thought instead of showing some MSPaint graph I would show an example of why you are right, using actual computer generated RNG lol.
Anyways I’m out of here. You’re probably insane, and perhaps a little loony.

Sorry dude, i didn’t get your point, i thought you was disagreeing with me
There is too many guys blaming for nothing that i am confunsing those things, sorry dude

Yes , it looks so much more cool, it’s just because I SUCK at coding
a question that was never answered because you never asked it in this thread??? where tf is the question u rat
I’ve just got blame blame and more blame since i’ve created this post
for you have an idea, because of that, I thought that your “carry on” was an irony haha
but anyway, i only will only be toxic to someone if that guy be toxic with me, that’s my virtue, sorry for that blame dude
I had asked at the time I created this topic.
And i have just asked this: Why droptables much be a hidden-secret thing that everyone isn’t supposed to know?
Many people started to blame me for nothing,
saying like i was a idiot (as if i was wanting IMC releasing it only for me, OMG)
saying like i was forcing IMC releasing info, when i just wanted to bring this question to weekly Q&A
since now
only blames blames blames blames and blames
and i decided to edit the post to stop this sh.t
I thought my post (the initial edited one) would only reach 5 quickly comments and after that float on deadsea of Tree of Savior forum deadposts.
But we are already in 60 comments
The philosophy of this forum works like this:
“It is impossible to disagree with you without also swearing you, you motherf*cker”
