A party of Doppelsöldner, Chronomancer and Oracle for boss farming

If everything works as I understand then:

The party goes find a boss.The Oracle uses Clairvoyance to see if the boss will drop what they want, if not use Resetting. While fighting, the Oracle can use Forecast which seems very useful to deal with boss. When the boss is about to die, let Doppelsöldner finish it with their Double Pay Earn activated to earn x2 reward (that is if the reward includes dropped item). Then Chronomancer cheats time with their freaking Back Masking so they can kill and loot the poor boss again.

They will get x4 items from the boss with some control over which it will drop. => ($ _ $) ($ _ $) ($ _ $)

That with only one chronomancer. If you manage your ground well you could kill the boss as many times as the number of chronomancers ar the moment.

I dont think Chronomancers can revive mobs with that skill. I think it just reverts the damage you recieved.

Theres a Q&A where it is said the skill indeed revives monsters and that your loot can be multiplied. I wouldnt know about bosses though.

Maybe bosses are inmune to some skills or status effects.

@chettone

They can! This was stated on the blog:

Q) I saw Chronomancer’s skill which restores the past time. Then
is it possible to revive the friends who are dead? What about the
items that we acquired before we restore the time? How about the
monsters which are dead? Do they resurrect?

A) First of all, this skill can’t be used often since some time needs to
be passed in order to use this skill again. However, if there were dead
friends or monsters, they will resurrect. The items that you acquired
before you restore the time will remain even if you restore the time.
You can understand it as in Sci-Fi movies where the main character who
go to the past using time slip still has a cell phone or other things in
his/her pocket which are not possible to be existed in the past.

@Mugen

But they won’t be able to spam that skill even if there are many Chronomancers.

Q) If there are more than two Chronomancers, then isn’t it possible to multiply the number of rewards?

A) Once a certain place has been used to restore the time, then that
place will be distorted for some time so that it is not possible to
restore the time within that place for some amount of time.

Of course they have to do something like that otherwise armies of Chronomancers will overpower the whole game and become our overlords!

Well I, for one, welcome our chronomancer overlords.

Indeed that female Chronomancer looks cute but NOOO!!! >_< If a girl becomes our overlord she at least should wear something like Sorcerer!

I hope at least bosses can be immune of Back Masking.

There seems to be a lot of skills for money making and item farming in ToS, I just hope they can keep the economy stable. I believe a bad economy will destroy an MMORPG pretty quick, even more so than the imbalance between classes.

it was the super duper rareness of ragnarok that keeps it alive…

Nice theorying XD sounds pretty cool!

Chronomancers can revive monsters and players

@Raine
Very nice theory Raine! I think it can be polished a little bit. I’ve edited your idea a little bit.

The party goes find a boss either a demon type or mutant type boss. This is because the Cleric can use Paladin`s turn undead skill for a chance to kill either a Demon or Mutant type monster. I did a tally and so far there are 101 unique bosses [bosses with the same name but different colour/title were essentially taken to be the same]. Out of these 101, 19 of them are mutant type, while 32 are demon type. This means that 50% of all bosses have a chance to be killed with turn undead instantly. Since we can change the drop anyway, it’s better to aim for these types. The Oracle uses Clairvoyance to see if the boss will drop what they want, if not use Resetting. While fighting, the Oracle can use Forecast which seems very useful to deal with boss. When the boss is about to die, first make your Mage cast Enlarge Body( Thaumaturge’s skill), this will double the remaining HP but will also double exp and drop rate, then bring HP back to it’s original and let Doppelsöldner finish it with their Double Pay Earn activated to earn x2 reward (that is if the reward includes dropped item). Then Chronomancer cheats time with their freaking Back Masking so they can revive the boss/party to a previous time. If you have a second chronomancer they can cast Black Mask after waiting just 10 sec. To decrease the 300 sec cooldown of Black Mask make your Cleric use Dievdirby’s Laima statue before casting Black Mask. Also I wonder about Oracle’s change, which changes the enemy based on a random level range. But i’m sure there is a mechanism to prevent bosses changing to ordinary mobs or vice versa. So even if you come across a non-demon/mutant boss you may be able to change it to a demon/mutant boss (50% chance).

Also there is still one issue with Black Mask. So basically it if the boss goes out of the bubble, the boss disappears from existence. (or maybe you are trapped in the distortion of space till it ends). Same thing if you’ve just resurrected your friend back to life. I still need some one to confirm how Black Mask works.

I’am still curious, doe’s Back Masking works on bosses?
Whole internet doesn’t have an info o_O
