That website is hella outdated…there is literally no information from previous weeks when prices in other regions was lower than NA prices.

Because the world is not a perfect place and your income average is not the same as the income average in another place. Also some countries pay stupid taxes (upto 50%). Steam’s pricing takes this into accordance and puts a fair price up, which is fine, problem was bots used vpn to trick steam into thinking they were from the other countries, so they use their good income on a low income price (russia), hence the removal of this. It’s sad to see it go for a lot of people, but IMC will do anything to stop bots.
yea, it isn’t really “fair” either way. shrugs
with regional pricing, it’s like the people in cheaper regions get more bonuses in-game for the same amount of money, and those who pay more seem to get less value for their money.
with fixed pricing, everyone pays the same for in-game content, but there’s no allowance for different economic environments around the world.
but, this way it’s less exploitable, so it’s chosen as the “better” method for now, to fight botters/RMT that were exploiting it.
they already said they’re bringing back regional pricing for the 4 regions the servers will be in after the server-transfers are complete, so it isn’t like they don’t understand it. but nobody wants to hear that there are actual reasons behind it, and that they made their choice to preserve in-game balance in the long run. they just want to complain how they are -personally- being targeted by IMC.

You can thank people who abused VPNs to grab cheap bot accounts for that.
the 50% pack is EXACTLY the same as the regular price pack. this includes the Exclusive Access.
the price was reduced simply because we’re already several weeks into the Exclusive Access run, and so you would get less Exclusive Access time to play before the f2p access.
meanwhile, the f2p access is pushed back to “sometime mid-may”, so there’s lots of time. AND economically, it’s just an excellent deal regardless – the TP included in each of the packs would cost more than the price we’re paying anyway.
