3.5 physical class and 1.5 magical class after rebuild, death for cloth set?

You guys always forget how easy to aim Magic is in pvp against Physical skills.
In gem feud if im barely on screen with an sage Featherfood or Shadowmancer i get instantly hit with huge dmg.
(1-2shot big dmg)

Then there are still lot of CCs on magic cls.

Magic will still be superior in pvp content maybe more equal in pve content.

If you read the source you quote, there is an example of how the crit chance boost works:

Leather effects, on the other hand, are adjusted to fit into the new critical formulas and add +10% to maximum critical chance limits, increasing the 50% threshold to 60%. Critical chance here corresponds to the actual ratio applied when the character attacks.
If you have a 30% chance of critical, for example, that percentage is increased by 20% with Legend-grade armor, becoming 36%.

This means your crit chance is boosted by up to 20% of its current value. If you only have 5% crit chance against Velcoffer, Velcoffer Leather set will boost this by 20% of 5% = by 1%, increasing your total crit chance to 6%.

This is why I said it’s pretty much useless on low crit rates, 120% of a low crit chance will still be a low chance.

well, im still just a beginnger on crit stats relation stuff :joy:, so i might got it wrong

you should check how low the skill factor they are after rebuild…you can only either choose dmg or cc now, if you choosed both, your skill CD will be either too long or too hard to land the cc. not to mention raise is nerfed to 5s now.
FF skill is always hard to land, the reason you got 1shot by ff isn’t the class itself but joint penalty from linker. now it is moved to scout tree, imagine you got silence then link+ random skill 1shot

Considering your parameters specifically, wouldn’t that make archers similar to wizards then? And maybe to some extent, clerics similar to swordsman?

DPS wise, of course.

Most archers have bad range, Falconer and Piper have pretty massive range but like BM is never gonna Smash Bullet you from off screen, the other rank 1-5 classes are no different, SR has some big range but no one shots, Cannoneer has 1 skill but the rest is pretty short IIRC, Musketeer is big range but not one shots without prep and Mergen is mostly not an issue since nobody plays it or it’s just Falconer being the problem.

Your wizard usually stays out of combat, so the only mobs you need to watch out are ranged mobs. Cloth takes care of the magical ones, since you’ll pile up a ton of MDef (even more if you have blue cards for it). Your only problem remaining with Cloth would be the archers.

indeed… and for pvp, being one shot is very possible with cloth set by retir or lacer even some archer.

It is worse with leather, considering ret and lancer classes specifically.

Leather in PvP is the same as choosing to die though, but Cloth was a choice to survive vs certain classes but the classes have been all mixed up and block/evasion apply to all so there is a real reason you should be allowed to change armors regarding cloth.
