I’ve finally had enough with all the bullshyt going on in TBL. First of all, I want to clarify that I’m not here to flame anyone but to share my experience and general thoughts in TBL.
This is my 1st week joining TBL 2v2 with my lv203 rank6 sw3cata3 swordsman. I’ve total of 4 days participation with around 40+ match. Currently, I’ve accumulated 22 total win and achieved highest rank of 21st.
As of today I’ve dropped to rank 146th after a series of trainwreck matchup (straight up losing when teamed up with a 10k hp sw3cata3 and a 10k hp sadhu) and some close matches that end up losing (damn fun though).
The TBL matchup is pure luck based. Sometimes you’ll have favorable matchup and sometimes you don’t (most likely end up losing but not always). This is the fact we’ve to deal with and everyone should know it.
What disgust me is the unsportsmanlike conduct of some players that throw the match (leave game or AFK wait lose) when they ‘think’ its unfavorable for them and BMing before they leave. (a catagoon also faced the same shyt as me in the same TBL session today).
I can’t say for everyone, but from my own experience these kinda situation had occurred at least one time per TBL session for me. So far, all of them had insulted me (eg: “why even join?”, “rank6 you joking?”, “carry you? lol”, “you will just drag the team down.”, etc…) right before the match even started, but luckily they didn’t just leave. (some match end up winning, some lose, I know its hard to believe right?)
To summerize up, I feel like most people saw “You’re gonna lose! lol” when they matchup with a swordsman in 2v2 TBL. Which is especially true if you’ve matchup with an inexperienced swordsman or not PVP oriented build. (other classes have same issues too, hard to believe right?)
In my opinion, swordsman generally perform really bad in PVP scenario is due to the lack of viable build/skill that can actually work/contribute something in PVP.
Currently, the proven/tested build that actually worked and have chances in PVP such as sw3cata3 required high skill floor or experience to control and make it viable.
However, the lack of diverse PVP build (or in some cases the synergy with other classes) in swordsman tree had make it too one-diamensional and predictable. Thus, making even viable PVP oriented build harder to play against other classes.
As of now, other classes can perform better simply because no matter what their build are, they’re most likely end up having at least something that can actually work/contribute more than swordsman in PVP scenario. All in all, the diversity of PVP build and low skill floor of some build also make them more viable in PVP even if its not PVP oriented.
In conclusion, if everyone started to think they might lose when matchup with a swordsman and throw their game too… You know what would happen…
