You fail to understand that it has nothing to do with the wait. If it is 1 week or 1 year it doesn’t matter. The problem is the date. If you submitted vacation on the 22nd and the date changed, you screwed yourself. It doesn’t matter what the date changed to. It could have been moved to the 23rd and you are just as screwed.

I’ll never understand how you people are planning your vacations, your life around a video game and when, SUDDENLY, something goes wrong, you start complaining about it on forums.

Can’t help it due to the recent change of plan made by IMC for the community. In fact, it was the community who made that change. Mostly to apply the founder pack, appeal to steam, paper work and so on thus you really can’t blame them by calling them foolish.
Oh and don’t cancel that short trip of yours. You could just bring your laptop along (if you have any) to play the game while spending some quality time for yourself (and your family). Vacation is fun, true, but don’t spend it too much on gaming.

I didn’t expect the backlash IMC got and so I didn’t expect them to have to revise their date, but that was clearly foolish thinking.

And thus, no one is at fault, blaming wouldn’t solve any of this either. True, I too expected 22nd March as a play date and prepared plans for it but knowing it to change later on makes me had to reschedule my time.
Remember, it was the community who wanted a change and IMC is making that happen. I can imagine the work load they’re having right now with all the papers needs to be redone. If everything was going as planned, there wouldn’t be any hassle, just submit the old papers I guess.
IMC can’t satisfy everyone but they are trying to satisfy the majority by hearing out what they want.
We’re all missing the bigger picture here.
Specifically, that the OP missed the point. March is 03, not 04.

And no, if you take a week off to wait for a game, you screwed yoursel. By now, I would think anyone is smart enough to know that game launches is always packed and has problems. Here’s the best part, you say they’re screwing themselves, but you and this OP are going to end up playing anyway.
Actually, that is not an exaggeration. I can’t speak for the OP, but I never wanted a release this early in the first place. I wanted them to take as much time as they needed to perfect the game, and to have a CBT with a wipe before going to OBT.
Since IMC announced there was going to be a release, I went with it, but I would have preferred they delayed it from the start.
Of course I am still going to play. I have been supporting IMC since Project R1.

Well, we don’t know that it was a typo. But for the purposes of human decency, which I am so desperately short on that it requires rationing, I suppose it doesn’t really matter.
