Hello there! How is it going? Hope you are better than me!

-`Cause I am really sad and tired of seeing and reading some bad things

If your against any ethnicity, world region, country, other cultures you should study a little more about them, cause you are not better than them, and getting knowledge is the only way to stop being ignorant.
On chat, people are calling others “monkeys”, saying someone or a group of people is guilty without any evidence, saying people from a specific region/country should not play the game just because they are from another region/country, and it gets worse.
In my country this is a crime, and I hope IMC does something about it, cause we are already doing, We are getting evidences for our lawyers so they can contact the justice department.
It is really sad that this community is xenophobic. Some players are already calling the game “Tree of Xenophobes”

Honestly, its an online game where people are going to spout all sorts of nonsense. You can’t even tell if they really mean it, if they’re a robot spamming that, or w/e.

I’d rather devs put their efforts elsewhere like on server stability, working friends list, better chat windows, etc. Rather than give in to the whims of someone who doesn’t know how to ignore the chat box.

“E-Bullying” is the dumbest thing to have come up in the past few years. It doesn’t exist. Why? Because unlike bullying in real life, YOU CAN TURN OFF YOUR COMPUTER AND WALK AWAY.

Seriously, let them talk all they want. You’re the one CHOOSING to respond and get offended by it. All they need is a functioning mute system (if its not there already) and that’s plenty. You also have limited Yell chat for a reason.

No MMORPG allows this sort of thing. I don’t expect them to be dealt with in beta as there are more important things to be resolved, but I expect the community to be kept in check after launch. Some very basic decency should be expected in all public chats, world chat is atrocious as it is right now. This should not be tolerated to at the very least cultivate a somewhat decent community.

I don’t even open the world chat anymore because it is mostly garbage, from people spamming nonsense memes to idiots spouting brainless hatred and people spamming and taunting in foreign languages. I am hoping not to see this after launch.

Dealing with hate speech is one thing, the other is understanding what made people say those things and doing something about this. Forced censorship by its own never solved any real issues without additional work done to deal with the root of hate.

No, that’s a stupid reason. E-bullying is only a way for retards to express themselves and spread contagion. Those fatty kids are all emo, ego and probably failing at school. Yet they are trying to express self estim out of fart because of inferiority complex but they still are a pollution.
Most those kids are haters that never even met their target, so it’s pure stupidity, but they are the result of a brainwashing methods of adults apply on their child. Because their parent are retards in first place who couldn’t feel secure in the world and are terrified on their own failure. By blaming others they are trying to spread a virus of fear that will always find echo deep in the brain of a reader.

It’s a emotional scare that reach empathy and the proof is you talk about it, read it, and see others get bullied . The normal way to stop bully is either to fight back of kill them. Since it’s never a good idea to kill dumb kid not even knowing what they are talking about, fight back with post and list of culprit is the best way.

Ban isn’t the best way because it doesn’t fight back, it does hide… if you want to make a fight back, post a list of all racist you found in the game and display it. Then you will have a fight back.

If things are getting out of control, then IMC could send to court true identity of the criminal.

In France racism and antisemistism force you to pay 3000 euro penalties and it doesn’t matter where you are or where you from. The post reached a french citizen so it’s legal issue in france. Once parent will be drained out of their money because of their retard kids, they might teach him to shut his mouth or get proper education.

Same issues are dealt with almost the same results in USA, UK, Germany, Norway, Sweden, Danmark, Israel, Marocco,Algeria.

Please, we’re not dumb, everyone here knows you’re talking about brazilians, you’ve nothing here to hide, this is an old, worldwide known issue, and it surprises me people are still arguing over this.

As a brazilian, I have a lot (and I mean a LOT) of experience with these people, I’ve played on tons of brazilian servers and I know my country’s community. I agree that calling people monkeys and stuff like that is too much, but trust me, there is a reason people want us brazilians to be shoved into a BR server, and there’s a reason many, many online games out there not only did this, but also blocked brazilian IPs to international servers.
It’s because the massacrating majority of the BRs are a plague. They need to be dealt with.

Not only they pollute the global chat with portuguese nonsense, but most of the time, nonsense that goes far beyond obscene (It took me less than 10 minutes to see this kind of thing when I first logged in ToS, and I would post what I’ve seen here, but I don’t think it’s allowed.), they bot, they hack, they exploit bugs, players and everything they can to climb up and throw everyone else down, and most of the time it is literally for the sole reason of ruining other people’s experience.

I could list you all games I know that have BR IPs locked, games that had their sevrers shut down due to excess of hacks and bots, games that were forced to ban a huge chunk of their active players because they were all exploiting bugs, PKing like crazy and they all had one thing in common; their nationallity.
I know, it’s not like there aren’t hackers from other countries as well, there’s people like this everywhere! And yes, I know, not ALL brazilian are like that, after all, I am not saying I am like this as well, and I am a brazilian, but still, this is something that needs to be dealt with.

Unlike other regions’ communities, the BRs are immensely populated with hateful people that if given the chance, will unite to destroy the game they’re in, jumping from one game to the next, I know them, they’ve done it numerous times and if IMC doesn’t put a limit to them, they will do it again in ToS.

Why do people get so offended to seeing foreign languages to the point they start spouting xenophebic slurs?. Just saying, if multiculturalism affects you, like you said, there’s a CHOICE to TURN OFF YOUR COMPUTER AND WALK AWAY.

Really though, all I think it is is that people are getting frustrated of the lag that they start to be annoyed at everybody else, like I was; “wtf is this lag, omg these ppl grinding are causing the lag, PLAYING THE GAME, JUST LIKE WHAT I WANNA DO.” Sheesh…

As a Brazilian, I agree with much of what you said, except for one question …

I disagree is that most Brazilians that performs this type of troll and childish act, but unfortunately, the minority is able to draw as much attention, cause so much trouble, it does seem like it’s a lot of people.

In https://www.facebook.com/TreeOfSaviorBR page, there are 28,744 followers, 700 cause trouble, 28,000 will suffer.

Honestly, I never talk in Portuguese, or used in my characters, a word that suggests I am Brazilian to avoid discrimination.

Ip block sucks because punish slight majority, so aa loud minority does not give.

In this sense, I believe that the best solution would be to add report button.
If you take 10 reports, it is a permanent ban.

And since the only form of distribution will be by steam, perma ban “means” goodbye ToS.

The reporting system could be exploited so well, Look at Archeage. BR’s in that game Flag users with Suspected User making them Prime suspects.

If Tree of Savior stays Free to Play , making a steam account is also free.
Just get a bunch of people to make alt steam accounts and report someone to a permanent ban.

Only way I would see it having an effect is if you have to buy the game on steam for access.

Just food for thought.

The irony here is that you’re doing exactly what the people in op’s posts are doing

except in every online game ever. Have you ever played with Brazilians? Granted there are a few cool ones, but the overwhelming majority of them are horribly toxic to the core.

People aren’t going to be nice to people they dont like, get over yourself.

How horrible it must be that someone somewhere said something mean one time on the internet to you, however will you recover? Obviously the smart thing to do is to sue them because your feelings got hurt right? Idiot.

I don’t know about other people but for me…that Brazilian version of “HAHA” just pisses me off. It irks me. But I don’t hate Brazilians though. I have nothing against you folks even though sometimes the majority of your kind just ditch me to join another party while I’m getting mobbed. I think the reason why I don’t like the Brazilian “HAHA” is because the many times I died…I saw the Brazilian “HAHA” on the screen. It’s a traumatic experience for me. I shudder and my blood boils when I see that. Besides it’s just stupid to look at…

Word of advice, if you don’t want people to know that you support that type of people just don’t use it. Use it in your private conversation. There’s this thing called “gaming culture”. You’re playing on an international server, we speak English here. So don’t annoy us with your culture. And those childish brats that talk about Brazilians being monkeys? Don’t worry about them they won’t be playing TOS for long. There’s a trend to those kind. They usually just causal players that bought into the hype and leave quite soon enough. Besides who knows they might be getting banned soon.
