Anyone feel like we need more frequent spawns? Even after the +50% patch

It totally needs to be increased.
The game is currently a nightmare for that. It’s all bout KS, waiting forever for a specific mob to spawn (to farm it/its drops or do a quest), and just sitting waiting.
While I don’t mind waiting a bit, or doing the whole map to find every XXX mob and kill it, it’s truly dumb to have to wait 10 minutes for one mob to spawn.

With quests, it becomes totally unbearable (and makes you want to rage quit) when you need a specific item from a mob/mobs but it rarely drops, when you have to kill a mob/get its quest drop in a limited area (if you kill outside of the circle, it doesn’t count) or when your quest is to lure mobs to a specific area, and kill them there.
Even by switching channels you have to wait forever.

It’s arrived to the point, the day before yesterday one of my new characters arrived at the Tenet Chapel zone, with quests to do. But it was ~7-8pm, so instead of continuing, I logged off on this character and only did the quests the next morning.
If we want to advance in quests, to grind, to farm, or anything like that, we have to play in the mornings, when there are way less people… And even then, there are still lots of bots.
It’s not enjoyable at all.

IMC, wake up, this is needed.

I wonder if IMC is going to wait for the game to die to do something about it. Strike while the iron’s hot, the arrival of f2p might be the last chance the company has to prove ToS’ worth as a competitor in the MMORPG market.

Pretty much, If they wait til F2P hits, and they all run into the issue and quit (and they will quit because of it) it will be to late for the game.

Needs to be fixed before the 10th for the game to stand a hope in hell of holding a pace in the MMO market.

The worst thing that could happen in a MMORPG launch is servers down, queues and low spawn rates.

  • We all know when f2p comes we need the servers up and working.
  • We all know no one likes to wait in queues for 8 hours.
  • We all know there is a ton of people doing the sames quests and killing the same mobs.

Some things are just a matter of thinking about what happened with other games and where they f* up. Then just don’t do that.

If Tree of Savior can’t see these things then maybe it’s doomed to failure since there is no planning and simple issues like spawn rate is being asked here and not fixed yet.

I really dont know why they keep this system if nobody like it.

please increase the monster spawn rates! we need this.

+1 on the increase spawn rate. The maps are completely empty I have to channel hop just to find mobs…

This is still an issue >.<

Supporting this thread.

If your intention is to artificially stop us from leveling to 280 too fast, please reconsider. We have ET to tackle. We also have alts to try out and reroll. But if we have to go through that same cycle of maps lacking mobs with more people to contest those few mobs with, you’re just giving us a reason to leave the game.

Channel switching should be there for when a map is too FULL of PEOPLE. When we have to switch channels due to the LACK of MONSTERS, that’s a big problem.

If we are forced to fight off other players/groups over ordinary mobs, you’re hindering the community from working together. Please redesign the mob density and spawn rate with the current player load in mind.

Waiting for mob spawns is not fun. Experiencing getting KS’d over a flawed mob spawn rate is not fun. Fighting other players over REGULAR mobs is not fun. Switching channels just to look for REGULAR mobs is not fun.

Also have ploblem when I do quest alone. People killed my quest’s monster again and again, result is I can’t finish my quest !

So increase would be better.

The monster spawn rates are atrocious, coming from someone who’s spent 8+ hours the last couple days trying to complete the collections for crystal mine 2+3.

On mine 2 I ran around for hours on empty maps, if there was anyone else on the channel with me. On mine 3 I’ve seen 1 vubbe fighter in four hours camping a spawn spot. Hard to believe it is intended to be this way.

Edit: I also played in cbt2 and it was MUCH better back then. I really don’t understand the reasoning behind this, when even regular mobs feel like you found a rare spawn.

Tree of channel hoping.
When you can’t rely upon the server to spawn mobs.

Would be nice to see some improvement on this. Started playing this with friends couple days before F2P and yeah… there’s not nearly enough spawns for everyone on the map.

I can’t even use swashbuckling on my Peltasta (sp) because then I’d be just hogging all the mobs and inviting KS when everyone’s already sitting around waiting for respawns.
Don’t even get me started on quest mobs…

I dont feel bad about kill stealing anymore since the current spawn rate encourages it.

question is did they even implemented the 50% respawn??

Apparently they increased the spawn number by an unknown percentage, but did nothing about the spawn rate. So the number of number of monsters that spawns per group has increased, but the speed at which they spawn remains the same.

Same here, unfortunately. I used to advocate not being a douche to other players but the game just forces it, to a degree I completely expect other players to try to KS me.

Supposedly the “50% spawn increase” only icreased the rate of monsters that sometimes suddenly pop up right next to you and ambush you, which are not part of the maps natural spawns. They didn’t touch the “natural” spawns of the maps at all. At least that’s what i’ve read about this.
